Bio

Bryan’s research investigates population and community dynamics in lakes and ponds throughout the Sierra Nevada mountains. He is interested in how mountainous landscapes like the Sierra influence patterns of diversity in aquatic invertebrate populations and communities and how those patterns vary across space, time, and with the growing influence of climate change. Through this line of research, Bryan hopes to better understand the basic structure of mountain aquatic systems in order to better manage and protect them.
