Samantha Sharp is a graduate student in Civil and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources Engineering. Samantha's research aims to evaluate scales of spatial and temporal variability of cyanobacteria in freshwater lakes. The results of this research aim to help validate a remote sensing tool for monitoring cyanobacteria in California lakes. This research includes the collection of in situ cyanobacteria data coordinated across multiple sampling platforms. This work combines Samantha's interests in water resources, water quality, and spatial data analysis. Samantha's Ph.D. work is supported by a NASA graduate fellowship.
