Every year the Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) produces the State of the Lake Report. This highly anticipated synthesis of the long-term data trends observed throughout the lake, together with highlights of recent research is used by the public, students, and by decision makers to quickly understand the changing nature of Lake Tahoe. 

This year, marks a new era for TERC with the recent retirement of long-time director and TERC founder Dr. Geoff Schladow. To highlight the emerging TERC research, the State of the Lake report will be a showcase of the current research efforts and a discussion of how this new research compliments the long-term research. 

In partnership with Incline Village High School, this presentation will be held in the newly renovated Duffield Theatre (499 Village Blvd, Incline Village, NV 89451). Also in partnership with TEDxReno, an independently organized licensee of the TED organization. The TED community believes in the power of ideas — loosely centered around Technology, Entertainment and Design—to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. In short presentations, leading-edge thinkers and doers share “ideas worth spreading” that tackle humanity’s toughest questions with innovation, enterprise and optimism.
