UC Davis Tahoe Science Center (TEMPORARILY CLOSED)
The UC Davis Tahoe Science Center will be closed to the public. We will reassess the situation to determine when to reopen. We are listening closely to guidance from public health officials about how best to curb the spread of COVID-19, and like many public institutions, we’ve decided that a temporary closure is the safest course of action for our visitors, staff, and community. This decision is voluntary and not a result of any confirmed case of the coronavirus among our staff or volunteers.
Public health officials are advising people to practice “social distancing” to help them stay healthy and limit the potential for community transmission. We hope you will also do what you can to stop the spread of this illness by following best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
We will keep you informed about any new developments through our website, social media, and email. We continue to plan for our science education programs, future events, garden workshops, and exhibits for the rest of the year. Our research activities continue, but with staff taking prudent steps to ensure the safety of all.
We look forward to seeing you again soon when we reopen.
