Is your shampoo (and lots of other things you use every day) bad for outdoor air quality? UC Davis researcher Chris Cappa has found that everyday use of a wide-range of consumer products containing organic compounds (e.g. shampoo, perfume, paints) has a surprisingly large negative impact on air quality, even in car-centric urban cities such as L.A. We will discuss Aerosol Pollution; why and how this can be the case, even when we use so many of these products indoors. No host bar available at 5:30pm, presentation begins at 6:00 p.m. $5 donation collected at the door.
