While growing up in Portland, Oregon, Maggie attended an environmental science-based charter school that instilled in her a lifelong passion for nature and environmental education. Maggie studied Conservation Psychology at Oregon State University, where she investigated connections between mental health and environmental justice as well as strategies for promoting environmentally conscious behaviors in individuals. She also conducted research on how natural and built environments impact behavior and well-being. After completing a year of AmeriCorps service at the Environmental Learning Center at Clackamas Community College as a stewardship volunteer coordinator and watershed-focused environmental educator, Maggie is excited to be joining the TERC team and exploring the beautiful Lake Tahoe this year.
