Exploring Eastern Sierra Zooplankton Dynamics

Helen Lake in Yosemite National Park

Event Date

Join TERC in welcoming Dr. Celia Symons from University of California, Irvine. She will be discussing her research to help understand the impact of global change drivers on aquatic food web structure and function. What influences biodiversity and the response of ecological communities to environmental change? Dr. Symon's research studies anthropogenic stressors in freshwater ecosystems across biological scales, from populations to food webs. Through a combination of field surveys and large-scale experiments, we can better understand how aquatic ecosystems will function in a rapidly changing world.
