Celebrate the start of the summer season at Opening Day at the Lake, a community event hosted by the Tahoe City Downtown Association. Join locals and visitors in downtown Tahoe City for a day of shopping, activities, and lakefront fun as the community welcomes the warmer season.
Enjoy live music, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to connect with community organizations working throughout the Tahoe Basin. Stroll through downtown, explore local businesses, and experience the energy of Tahoe City as summer begins.
Stop by the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) outreach booth and learn science-based strategies for gardening in the Tahoe region, explore what grows best in our mountain environment, learn strategies to sustain the Tahoe Basin, and connect with fellow Tahoe gardeners.
This program is part of a three-event High Elevation Gardening Outreach series led by the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC), bringing garden education and plants selected for our locale to community events across the basin.
Featuring leafy greens, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, beans, and peas. Crop availability varies by event and season.
