UC Davis researchers Katie Senft and Dr. Jenessa Gjeltema will get you up to speed with the latest science behind microplastics and present the research underway at Lake Tahoe to study the fate of microplastics in our freshwater system. Discover how microplastics are sampled and how researchers can determine the types and even the sources of plastic found.  

Katie Senft is a field researcher with the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center. Jenessa Gjeltema, DVM, Dipl. ACZM, is a Board Certified Specialist in Zoological Medicine and Assistant Professor of Zoological Medicine.
