Event Date

Location
Tahoe City Field Station 2400 Lake Forest Rd Tahoe City

Join us for a special open house at the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center’s Tahoe City Field Station. This is a unique opportunity to explore where cutting-edge science happens and learn more about the research shaping the future of Lake Tahoe.

Meet scientists and staff, tour the field station, and discover current projects focused on lake clarity, ecology, and environmental change. In addition to research highlights, this event will feature a community garden work day focused on planting crops featured in three previous High Elevation Gardening Events. Connect directly with experts and learn how to grow food successfully in Tahoe’s challenging climate.

We’ll also be offering a BOOST compost giveaway generously donated by Full Circle Compost, along with any remaining seeds and seedlings for purchase from our High Elevation Gardening events, perfect for getting your garden started! The compost is BYOB, bring your own bag, bucket, etc.

This free, family-friendly event is open to all, stop by, connect with the science, get dirty in the garden, and take home resources to help your garden thrive.

For questions email Abigail Cain @ UC Davis.
